The modern reincarnation of the hoodie was introduced to the world in the 1930s. Knickerbocker Knitting Company, now known as Champion, has released a cotton jersey model with a drawstring hood. It was conceived as a garment for athletes to keep warm after training, but the hooded sweatshirt proved to be so comfortable and functional that it quickly became just a streetwear uniform for various workers. Then, in the 80s, it became popular with hip-hoppers, breakdancers and skateboarders, and through them she entered the street style forever. The hoodie turned out to be an ideal option for outerwear, super comfortable and, if necessary, preserving the owner's anonymity.

The hood is a detail that gave rise to the word "hoodie" itself, and it was he who gave this garment such an appeal. The hood will protect you from wind and rain, but just as well it saves you from indiscreet glances. Putting on it, you can feel more secure, as if hiding in your own shell. Hoodie has a long history and connects different universes. Like all garments, especially utilitarian ones, it is incredibly simple in its design. But at the same time - incredibly full of possibilities.
